By enrolling or otherwise particpating in any classes or events sponsored by Establishment Dog Training, Ltd. you are agreeing as follows:
You acknowledge that you understand that attendance at a private or a group dog training class, event, and/or function is not without risk to yourself, to anyone who may attend with you and to your dog(s), since there may be situations and dog(s) to which you will be exposed that may be difficult to control and may be the cause of injury to persons or dogs, even when handled with the greatest amount of care and precaution.
You acknowledge that you assume all risks and full responsibility for yourself, your dog(s), and for anyone attending with you. You further agree to release and hold harmless Establishment Dog Training, Ltd, Cynthia Erickson, their agents, volunteers, employees, the training facility and its property owners and management for any illness, injury, or loss that you incur to yourself, to your dog(s), and to anyone attending with you.
You, as the owner of the dog(s), hereby agree to secure a proper collar and leash as directed by Establishment Dog Training, Ltd., and to wear proper clothing and shoes to permit effective training of your dog. You agree to provide proof of vaccinations if requested and understand your dog may not be admitted to class and/or a private session will not occur without such proof. You agree and pledge to abide by the statements in this waiver and will insure the same of your companions. You further agree and pledge to abide by all of the terms and conditions set forth throughout this section of the website titled "Legal Stuff".
You understand that the degree to which a dog is successfully trained is a function of the interest, commitment, and cooperation of you, the owner/handler. You acknowledge and agree that there is no guarantee of what my dog will achieve in training based on the instruction given, but that you as the owner/handler of your dog(s) are responsible for teaching and training your dog(s).
By typing filling out and providing your name on the registration form and submitting your application for services, you acknowledge that you have read this "Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk and Release" and agree to its terms as well as the terms and conditions set forth throughout this page of the website titled "Legal Stuff". Special Conditions Applying To All In-Home Training
While most in-home training is conducted by an assistant trainer, the Primary Trainer may peform these services in her discretion and at special pricing. Dogs with serious aggression problems will be trained by the Primary Trainer Only and the cost of services is subject to special pricing.
All in-home training sessions are scheduled for no more than one hour. If you wish to consult with the Assistant Trainer beyond the one hour limitation, additional charges will accrue at the rate of $25 for each additional 30 minutes or portion thereof.
In addition to the cost of services, travel charges may apply for some locations. As with the tuition, travel charges must be paid before services begin.
Training is the process of teaching the dog's owner the techniques needed to accomplish the desired goals. Success is dependent upon the owner regularly working with his or her dog and carefully adhering to the instructions and techniques which are demonstrated by the trainer.
Our guarantee as described in the Basic Training Section of this website regarding Classroom Training DOES NOT apply to In-Home Dog Training Services.
Cancellation Of Scheduled In-Home Classes
It is the responsibility of the enrolled student to request that a class be rescheduled and give the assigned trainer notice at least 3 days in advance of a scheduled In-Home training session which the student will not be able to attend. Failure to do so shall result in the training program being reduced by one class for each class the student fails to cancel properly. Under these circumstances, classes will continue on “in sequence” and the eliminated class or classes will be the last class or classes in the program. If the student desires that the class or classes be added back into the program curriculum, an additional payment, to be determined by the primary trainer, in her sole discretion, shall be required to reinstate the class or classes into the curriculum. Note: The primary trainer may, in her sole discretion, make exceptions to this policy in certain situations.
Failure To Be Present At A Scheduled In-Home Training Session
It is the responsibility of the enrolled student to be present at the time of the scheduled In-Home Training Session. If the assigned trainer arrives for a scheduled training session and the enrolled student is not available for such session it will be considered an unapproved cancellation. The training program shall be reduced by one class for each class the student fails to cancel properly. Under these circumstances, classes will continue on “in sequence” and the eliminated class or classes will be the last class or classes in the program. If the student desires that the class or classes be added back into the program curriculum, an additional payment, to be determined by the primary trainer in her sole discretion, shall be required to reinstate that class or classes into the program curriculum. The Primary Trainer may, in her discretion, make exceptions to this policy in certain situations.
Requirement That The Program Must Be Completed Within A Specific Time Period
It is the responsibility of the enrolled student to make scheduling arrangements with the assigned trainer to complete the following programs in the time indicated below.
Program One:The "Training NOW!" Program must be completed within 2 weeks of the initial phone consultation with the primary trainer.
Program Two: The Program To Develop Control must be completed within 6 weeks of the initial phone consultation with the primary trainer.
Program Three: The In-Home Basic On-Leash Program must be completed within 8 weeks of the initial phone consultation with the primary trainer.
Program Four: The Full In-Home Basic Training must be completed within 10 weeks of the initial phone consultation with the primary trainer.
Scheduling Policy
Both the enrolled student and the trainer shall set a schedule, within the times provided, which is convenient for both parties.
Failure To Complete The Program Within The Required Time
The obligations and responsibilities of Establishment Dog Training, Ltd and any of its assigned trainers is limited to performing the services for which the student has enrolled within the time frame outlined herein. If, for reasons relating to failure of performance or failure of compliance with the conditions and policies stated herein on the part of the enrolled student, the program is not completed within the time frame provided, the primary trainer, in her sole discretion, may determine if additional training will be offered, will determine, in her sole discretion, the additional cost of such additional training and determine the conditions under which such additional training shall be provided. However, Establishment Dog Training, Ltd. and all of its assigned trainers have absolutely no obligations or responsibilities to perform any services beyond the time within which any program must be completed.
No Refund Policy
Once the student has enrolled in a program and the initial phone consultation with the primary trainer has been completed, there shall be no refunds of tuition or enrollment fees.

Basic Training Refund Policy (Classroom Course Only)
Once a person has enrolled in one of Establishment Dog Training, Ltd.’s classroom course, they are considered a STUDENT. Space is then reserved for that STUDENT. Because class space is limited and other applicants are turned away when classes are filled, the general policy of Establishment Dog Training, Ltd. allows for NO REFUNDS. However, in the event a student gives ample notice of their inability to participate in the class in which they have enrolled, and providing that their reserved place in that class can be filled by a new or other applicant, refunds or partial refunds may be allowed in the sole discretion of Establishment Dog Training, Ltd.
